Irish Whiskey or Uisce Beathea (ish ca-ba-ha) is known as the "Water of Life". On this night we are devoting an entire evening to it. Join Fadó, Bushmills and host, Master of Whisky, Kevin Mulcahy as we celebrate the "Water of Life" with whiskey inspired food pairings.
The Tasting Menu
- Bushmills 10 yr Single malt
paired with Salmon Bites - traditional cold oak-smoked salmon on crisp boxty “blini” with capers, onions, light horseradish sauce and lemon
-Bushmills 16 yr Single malt
paired with Lamb and Blue Cheese Sliders - topped with caramelized onion
- Bushhmills Honey (brand new in the market!)
paired with Hot Brie Rarebit - buttery flavored warm brie on toasted baguette with apple onion relish, honey and green onion dressing
- Bushmills 1608 Anniversary Edition
paired with Rasher and Irish Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms
Whitebush Pickleback and mini cheesecakes for Afters (not necessarily paired)!
The Host
Master of Whisky, Kevin Mulcahy has been in the wine and spirits industry for twenty years and served as both a retailer and distributor before becoming a Master of Whiskey. His training covered history, production process, wood/barrel management, maturation and the art of blending, as well as meetings with whisky experts from some of the world's most prestigious distilleries. More importantly, Kevin has a passion for whisky that will convert any pioneer to the wonderful and complex world of whiskey.
